Journalism

 Hello readers !

What is Journalism :-

Journalism, the collection, preparation, and distribution of news and related commentary and feature materials through such print and electronic media as newspapers, magazines, books, blogs, webcasts, podcasts, social networking and social media sites, and e-mail as well as through radio, motion pictures, and television. The word journalism was originally applied to the reportage of current events in printed form, specifically newspapers, but with the advent of radio, television, and the Internet in the 20th century the use of the term broadened to include all printed and electronic communication dealing with current affairs.

Technology in Education and ELT

 Hello readers!

What is Web 2.0 Tools ?

 Hello readers!

💠What are Web 2.0 Tools?

Web 2.0 tools can very broadly be defined as end-user applications that require dynamic interaction, social networking, or user interfacing between people and information. They almost always have accompanying websites and associated apps for smart devices. In a Web 2.0 environment users decide how they want to use, interact with, and create information. This contrasts with earlier Web 1.0 environments where one simply read static information on the Web (Morrison & Lowther, 2005).

These tools are internet tools that allow the user to go beyond just receiving information through the web. The user is expected to interact and to create content with others. Social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter are examples of Web 2.0 tools. Web tools can be used to enhance teaching and collaboration  among teachers and students as well as increase professional collaboration between educators.

Can Technology Replace Teachers?

 Hello readers !

"We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher’s hand, because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world.”

~ David Warlick

Welcome to my blog. In this blog I have to discuss about can technology replace teachers ? We all know that in the 21st century technology is replacing almost everything. Without technology we can not imagine our life. And in the present time COVID19 corona pandemic has taught entire education system the importance of technology. The generation today loves technology. To connect with students and help them understand better, a teacher will have to come out of the comfort zone and explore new ways to engage them. And, technology will certainly play an important role in achieving just that. Technology has immense potential to upgrade today’s educational system. Can technology replace teachers ?

When we think about Can technology replace teachers? Yes or No? So,  Everyone has a different perception. But what I believe is that the answer to the above stated arguments is a ‘No’. Technology cannot replace a teacher. Technology is merely an augmentation to a teacher. It can help the process of learning, but it certainly cannot replace the role of the teacher. Technology has, no doubts, brought a lot of relief for the human kind, but that doesn’t mean it can overpower or substitute humans. And, the major cause for this is its inability to interact with humans.

It is much obvious that technology is assisting students in their learning and it is playing a crucial role in the field of education. But, as of now, it does not have the power to replace teachers because human interaction cannot be replaced by computers and human skills cannot be taught by technology. A teacher leads, guides, facilitates and mentors a student. They are role models who set an example to students and drive them towards a brighter future. A good teacher encourages independent thoughts and independent learning.
